Valerie Paskevich, affectionately known as, “Val”, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Riverview, Florida, with family next to her, at the age of 72.
Val was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on October 3, 1951, and was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Frances (St. Jean) Paskevich. Val was the youngest of her two siblings. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Stephen Cyprus Paskevich.
Val received her education in the Nashua, NH and Bourne, MA School Systems and continued her education, attending Worcester Polytech, in Worcester, MA, and graduated with a degree in computer science.
For many years, Val was employed as a programmer for the USGS, in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, until her retirement.
Val was an avid sports fan and was loyal to the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She also had a lifelong love of Disney and would frequent the Disney World parks and restaurants as often as possible. Val was also the informal family historian, as she was dedicated to family ancestry, making it one of her most enjoyed hobbies.
Val is survived by her brother Michael Paul Paskevich, as well as nieces, nephews, her aunts Lillian Poliquin and Rolande Streeter, cousins, as well as other family members and loved ones. She will be missed and remembered by many.
Family and friends are invited to Valerie’s graveside service on FRIDAY, June 14th at 11 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Hudson, NH
